Werribee Mercy Hospital is a large community hospital located just 20 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. We care for over 20,000 inpatients a year serving the western and south western areas of Melbourne. We provide a broad range of services which include surgical, maternity, dialysis, emergency, mental health, aged and palliative care We pride ourselves on providing quality health care, catering not only for the physical needs, but also for the spiritual and emotional well being of our community. The hospital is home to the Mercy Mental Health Program which offers a range of acute and community psychiatric services. Werribee Mercy is a rapidly growing hospital. In mid 2005 the hospital completed a $10 million upgrade funded by the Victorian Government. Improvements included a new Emergency Department, 12 bed palliative care centre and an additional operating theatre.
